2 KINGS 10-13
1. Let God take control
So the palace administrator, the city governor, the elders and the guardians sent this message to Jehu: "We are your servants and we will do anything you say. We will not appoint anyone as king; you do whatever you think best."
I was imaging myself saying that sentence to God, "I am your servant and I will do anything you say. I will not have any best plan of my own in mind; you do whatever you think best." WAHHH! say "WAHHH!" Yes, most of the time in life, we do know God has the best plan for us, and we psycho ourself and try to follow what God's plan is. However, in my heart, i'll be thinking if only it works out that way. I have a my own desired plan and outcome, which is not good because God gives us the bestest of the best plan.
2. God is the control tower of life
Once while some Israelites were burying a man, suddenly they saw a band of raiders; so they threw the man's body into Elisha's tomb. When the body touched Elisha's bones, the man came to life and stood up on his feet.
One great example is that, what if i were to pray for that person and he never get healed immediately. These kind of thoughts were justifying our own capability. However, the truth is that we ourself are not capable, because God is the one doing all those "behind scenes" that we don't know. God is the one working through us.
Likewise you can see in the above verse that the man was healed by Elisha's bones. It is proved that Elisha has no capability to heal a man because he is dead, the only possibility is that God is the one who work through Elisha's bone to heal the dead man so that he can come to life and stood up on his feet.
Know that God is the one who control over everything, not just. We are just His vessel and it is a privilage to be so. We are not being strike out when if outcomes are not the positives one because God is the judge and God is not a result-oriented God, but he is looking unto our obedience and faith in Him. CHEERS!!
